EXPLORING LIFE BEYOND LEGAL PRACTICE

Living and working in Southern California, Jon makes a point to enjoy the coast and stay active. He regularly plays beach volleyball, a sport that reflects his appreciation for the outdoors and the steady rhythm of life near the ocean. It’s a simple way for him to stay balanced and connected to the place he calls home.

That same sense of balance carries onto the water. Jon also enjoys sailing, where the focus and patience required offer a welcome change of pace from the demands of trial work. Time at sea reinforces the value of steady decision-making and perspective—qualities he brings back with him into his practice.

Outside of sports, Jon values quieter moments as well. When he’s not on the court or on the water, he spends time with his dog, Jarvis. Long walks along the beach provide another way to slow down, stay grounded, and appreciate the simple moments that help balance the responsibilities of his profession.

Travel as a Source of Perspective

Travel is another way Jon stays grounded and curious. He especially enjoys returning to places like Kauai, Italy, and Sequoia, where time away provides perspective and renewal. Experiencing different environments and cultures allows him to step back, recharge, and return to his work with a clearer focus. For Jon, travel isn’t about escape; it’s about learning, reflection, and staying connected to the world beyond the courtroom.
